While my mom is in rehab, working hard to gain the strength in her legs, this post is about Piggie.
Piggie and I have been together for almost 14 years (Oct. 23rd, it will be official). She is a rescue and was pulled the night before she was to be euthanized in a Georgia animal control shelter (that’s another story). It was estimated, Piggie was about nine moths at the time.
Thanks to one of my best friends, Beth, Piggie was saved and made her way to me.
Pig and I were besties from the first time we met. I knew we were meant to be together.
After a couple weeks, with the help of a rescue and thanks to Beth, the adoption was finalized. Piggie was my girl.
Piggie and I have been inseparable since the adoption was finalized and even the weeks before.
Piggie is a Pitbull and dispels all the misconceptions about the bully breeds and she showed everyone in her path!
Fast forward; Piggie is now a 14+ years old lady. In October, we will celebrate 14 years together.
Piggie is my best friend. My confident. My ride or die. She is my everything.
I will not let her suffer and when she tells me it’s time, I will be there to help her cross to the rainbow bridge with all my love, heart and soul.
Until then, we are in this life together, for all her remaining days and I will make sure they are full of love and all her favorite things.
Viva my Pig!
